The Crown at Wells

This former 15th-century coaching inn offers en suite accommodation, free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. It is close to Wells Cathedral and Bishop’s Palace, and William Penn once preached there in 1695.

The Crown is situated in the heart of Wells, in Somerset and bicycle and walking routes are in the immediate area. It is surrounded by cafes and restaurants, and a choice of parks can be reached in 10 minutes on foot.

Anton’s Bistrot restaurant serves local produce in a variety of dishes and has a wide range of wines to choose from. Local ales and wines are served in the Penn Bar, and there is a courtyard that has parasols for sunny days and outside heaters for colder weather.

Rooms at The Crown are traditional in style, and some have old wooden beams. Each has Egyptian cotton bed sheets, facilities for making tea and coffee, and a TV.
